Development plan
What we're building now, what's next and what's further out. Plans change as we go, and your ideas shape them. What's already out: latest updates.
Building now
The live match
- Watch your match play out on a pitch with all 26 players, set by set and tackle by tackle, instead of just the score.
- Energy bars that drain and recover, tired players who miss tackles, sin bins, injuries and interchanges.
- Make the calls at half-time: your team talk and your changes. Or leave it to your assistant and skip straight to the result.
- The new engine is built and checked against the real NRL. The match screen is next.
Building now
Themed dailies
- From Tuesday 3 November the daily challenge gets a weekly rhythm: a themed draft every Tuesday and Friday, and a wildcard on Sunday.
Next up
Four more themed drafts
- Super League war, Expansion era, Origin only and Kiwis and Islanders, one at a time.
Next up
Clubs that play like their real season
- Every real club scores where and how it really did that year: Souths' famous left edge, the sides that lived off kicks, the ones that offloaded everything.
Next up
Coach from the box
- Change your game plan while the match plays: attack, defence, kicking, tempo and risk.
- Give players roles, mark their best attacker, and get tips from your assistant ("their left edge is tiring").
- In the season with mates too.
Next up
One club, challenges and trophies
- One club: draft only from one club's history and build its greatest ever side.
- Challenges and trophies to earn and keep: go unbeaten, win with a side from one decade, win the GOATs league, win on Hard, all three stars on every theme.
Later
The week and the squad
- Pick your 17 each week. Form, fatigue, injuries, suspensions and the judiciary, and an inbox that keeps you across it all.
- A 30-man squad, pre-season trials, and the Origin period, when your stars go into camp and miss rounds.
Later
Your club, season after season
- Players age, develop and retire. Recruit to replace them, and fill a trophy cabinet and your club's own hall of fame.
Later
Career mode
- Take over any real club in any season since 1980: the 1995 Western Reds, the 1997 Super League Broncos or today's Dolphins.
- The board's expectations, the salary cap, contracts, the media, and the sack if it goes wrong.
Later
Manager leagues with mates
- Each mate runs a club in the same comp, with weekly deadlines and live head-to-head matches.
Later
Origin, Super League and more
- Origin, mate v mate: State v State drafts and a best-of-three series.
- Super League from 1980, with the Challenge Cup and the World Club Challenge.
- The NRLW.
